We’d love you to speak at Web Directions in 2025!
A new year has well and truly begun, and so it’s time to focus on programming our conferences for 2025.
Well, we’re actually well under way on that, with speakers lining up for Code, Code Leaders, and Dev Summit, but we’d love to hear from you!
Code (Melbourne June 12th and 13th) and Dev Summit (Sydney Mid November) are for front end, JavaScript, Fullstack and Web developers, and focus on the core platform technologies (JavaScript, CSS, platform APIs and features) that all frontend developers use, regardless of frameworks and libraries they might reply on, and practices around perforce, security and software architecture.
Code Leaders (Melbourne June 11th) is for engineering leadership and management and focusses on the challenges engineering leaders face, both technical and people.
For Code and Dev Summit
What have you learned recently that have made you a better developer? Your team more productive? We’d love to hear from you.
Here are some of the things we think are important right now
- Web components (particularly the declarative shadow DOM)
- front end architectures
- architecting CSS (including CSS layers)
- modern CSS layouts
- Web animation in 2025 (it’s come a long way)
- new features of JavaScript (like the new array features, temporal, import attributes, chelatest on promises)
- View Transitions
- Speculation Rules
- front end security
- web performance
- AI and Machine learning in the browser (so much happening here)
but I’m sure there’s much more, we always love to hear what folks propose!
For Code Leaders
For Code Leaders (Melbourne June 11) what do you wish you’d known sooner as a manager and leader? What have you learned recently that has worked (or now worked) that you’d like others to know? Leading people? Architecting systems? Convincing stakeholders? Code Leaders is all about sharing with your peers.
