We were all pretty excited when CSS grid layout subgrid landed in Firefox, but in the long wait for it to make it to Chrome, it’s a value that has had little attention in the past year. However, it is on the way, and in this talk, I’ll show you some interesting patterns that it enables, so you’ll be ready to take advantage of these new layout possibilities.

Rachel Andrew is a web developer and technical writer and editor. She works for Google on the web platform team as a staff technical writer and content lead for web.dev and developer.chrome.com.

Prior to Google Rachel spent 20 years as a freelancer and business owner. She founded edgeofmyseat.com in 2001 as a web development consultancy, the company moved into products launching Perch CMS in 2009 and Notist in 2018.
