Derek Powazek’s latest project, MagCloud, is a joint venture with HP Labs, the people who make the kind of printers that make print on demand possible. MagCloud lets anyone who can create a PDF publish a magazine. And the joy of print on demand is that it’s absolutely free for you as the publisher. It doesn’t cost a cent to ulpoad your PDF and set up the publication at the site. You then get to set your own markup to add on to the cost of publication, and this becomes the price of your magazine, plus delivery, for those who buy it.
