UI Developer
Responsible for the design and implementation of software, specializing in the user-interface of the product.
Key Areas
- Polish and consistency of the user interface
- Deliver Software Releases with minimal defects, specifically, close-to-zero “basic” defects.
- Advance and promote the use of Javascript, CSS and AJAX toolkits in the products
Main responsibilities
- Collaborating with the usability and design team to define the UI mockups
- Implement page designs in standards-compliant dynamic HTML and CSS
- Implement functionality in JavaScript, Java/JSP and using AJAX
- Work closely with back-end developers
- Writing automated functional tests for the UI
Key Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Some experience in Java web development
- Experience using AJAX and JavaScript toolkits, e.g. jQuery, Prototype, etc.
- Proficiency with design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Fireworks
- Excellent communication skills
