Buy a pixel, return someone’s sight
Need to bump up your karma points before the excesses of the weekend? Do something for someone else today and you could remain guilt free for the whole weekend.
The guys over at Adobe’s Sydney office have set up MillionEyesofSite as part of a team building program. Between 4.30pm on April 10th and 12pm April 11 they are trying to sell one million pixels, with all proceeds going to The Fred Hollows Foundation. As the pixels are sold they will reveal a picture. It only costs $25 to do a cataract operation and give someone their sight back.
Pixels can be bought for a donation $2 or more, and every donation of over $25 goes into a draw to win one of four copies of Photoshop CS3.
Great reading, every weekend.
